The following new features are available in this release:
New Parents' Evenings Manager Module
IRIS Reach has launched a new Parents' Evening Manager module, which now includes video appointments and a new user interface.
When creating events, you can choose between face to face and video appointments, or create hybrid events containing both appointment types.
When creating a new event, you can:
- Choose appointment lengths of 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes
- Choose a buffer time between appointments
- Create custom groups of attendees, for example, for extra-curricular groups
- Manage staff availability for each appointment slot, such as, set individual appointment slots as unavailable for a staff member and where a substitute is required
- Choose between using template invitation and reminder text or use your own
Additionally, administrators can manually book appointments on behalf of parents and carers where required.
A unique code is generated for each staff member attending the event. Using that code to log into the parents' evening using a web browser on a device with a webcam allows each staff member to join each video appointment and view their appointment bookings.
Parents and carers access their video appointments through the unique link sent to them in the invitation.
A new report is available with the Parents' Evening Manager module allowing you to view how many invitations were sent out compared to how many appointments were booked or attended.
To start creating your new video parents' evening, log into your IRIS Reach account and go to Parents' Evening Manager > Events Manager. Any existing parents' evenings that have been created in IRIS Reach but have not yet started are still available and are not affected by this new module — go to Parents' Evening Manager (Legacy) > Events Manager.
Customers that do not currently have the existing IRIS Reach Parents' Evening Manager installed can take advantage of our offer of free video appointments for your first event. For more information, contact your IRIS Reach Account Manager.
Costs:
The Parents' Evening Manager module is a chargeable add-on with a license fee of £350 per year.
Video appointments are charged at £0.007 a minute for each person A parent, legal guardian, carer, or someone responsible for a student. attending an appointment.
