Resolve Attendance Synchronisation Errors

This feature is only available for organisations that use IRIS Data Extractor to connect their SIMS to IRIS ParentMail.

When IRIS ParentMail is not able to synchronise with your Management Information System (MIS) attendance report, errors are logged to the Activity Log, and a warning icon is displayed against Settings. Details of the errors are also displayed in Attendance Registers Settings.

When synchronisation fails, the register must be taken manually.

If synchronisation continually produces errors, check the following: 

In your MIS: 

  • Is your MIS server running? 
  • Have default meal patterns been set up?
  • Has the teacher has taken the attendance register?

In IRIS ParentMail:

When you have checked all of the above, try the sychronisation again — select Synchronise with Attendance Report now.

If the synchronisation continues to fail, download the activity log, then log a support ticket (a Service Cloud account is required) and attach the activity log.
