Mark staff as leavers

You can mark a member of staff as a leaver before they leave your organisation to ensure that any future access to the system is prevented, or you can do this immediately after they have left. Marking someone as a leaver does the following:

  • they will no longer be able to login to the system.

  • they will no longer appear in the staff search (which by default shows current staff only).

  • idle timesheets after the leave date will be removed as part of the period end process, and as part of the automatic timesheet creation routine if being used.

  • the licence for the leaver is released and can be re-used.

  • the staff member will not be displayed on some reports and portfolios (dependent on how the report is written).

  1. Search for, then select the required staff member.

  2. From the Staff Details page, select the Staff tab.

  3. Select the date of leaving from the Ended calendar then click Apply. You can enter a future leaving date if required.
