Bank holidays and sickness records

IRIS Cascade doesn't block sickness on bank holidays. Bank holidays count as working days for sickness records.

Bank holidays are considered a nationwide holiday but are not specific to the employee. As per HMRC legislation, they should be counted as a sick day if they fall within the employees normal working pattern.

In situations where HMRC legislation does not apply, you can prevent bank holidays being counted towards the sickness record. Manually adjust the absence record, selecting Time of Day option N/A and duration for the day as 0.00.

The total duration for the period of absence must still be greater than zero.
