Creating the salary review

  1. Go to Admin.

  2. From Application Data, select Global Salary Update.

  3. Select Salary Review Process.

  4. Before adding the new review, select Update End Point Managers and choose the end point manager.

  5. Select Add End Point Manager.

  6. Select an employee from the list, then select Save.

  7. The selected manager is listed. You can now begin the review. Select Back then select Add New Review.

  8. Enter a Description for this review, then enter or select a Review Date.
  9. On the Employee Selection list, select the required employee group.
  10. Enter the percentage the pay is to be increased by in Base Pay Rise.

  11. Choose the required Reviewer Order:
    • Last x reviewers ending with end point manager uses the End Point Manager and works from the top down. This person can be selected when the process is started.
    • First x reviewers starting with the employees’ Immediate Manager working up the end point manager uses the employee's Immediate Manager and works from the bottom up.
  12. Select the Number of Reviewers (up to 5).

  13. From First Reviewer Based on, select either the employee’s reporting line or starting reviewer.

  14. From Employees on Other Pending Reviews, choose whether to include or exclude any employees currently included in another salary review process. This will show as pending or waiting to finish in the list of reviews.

  15. From Rounding for Employees with Yearly Pay Basis, select the required rounding - Pound or Pence.

  1. Select Save. The Salary Review – Reviewee Breakdown page is displayed.

    This screen is only shown at this point. If you want to record any information from this screen, use the Excel Export option to download the data. 

  2. Choose how to view the data displayed from the View Reviewees By list.

    • Overview – shows all top-level information for the review, including the employee name, job title, how many reviewers are in the process, and whether the End-point Manager has been found.

    • Conflicts – display any employees included in any other pending salary review processes, along with details of the current salary review.

    • Reviewers at each stage (up to five) – displays the information for each person set to be the reviewer, at each stage of the process. It includes the employee information, the reviewer name, and their hierarchy position. 

  3. Select View Stage Processing Screen to continue to the Salary Review - Stages page, where you can Start stage 1.

  4. Select the method of notification: 
    • Send email - when selected, automatically sets the option to Yes for Create Task.
    • Create Task - can be set on its own if you don't want to send an email to notify the reviewer that they have a task to complete.
