Set Up Student Reach to Send Exam Results

If you use SIMS as your Management Information System (MIS), exam results can be sent using Student Reach.

Set up Student Reach any time before or on exam results days for A-Levels, GCSEs, and vocational exams, including resits, to send exam results directly to students. Go to Student Reach, then Exam Results Settings.

To send exam results to students, you must give IRIS Reach permission to access the student email addresses and exam results in SIMS by selecting Give Consent Turn on IRIS Absence Call by agreeing to the terms and conditions and call charges..

If you no longer want Student Reach to access the data after exam results day, select Revoke Consent Turn off IRIS Absence Call by removing consent to the terms and conditions and call charges..

For student email addresses to be available when sending exam results, you must know the field name in SIMS that contains the their email addresses. In Student Reach, from Email Results To:, select the name of the field in SIMS the student email address is in. To apply and save the setting, select Change.

The student email addresses are automatically imported on Sunday evenings. To update your student email addresses before the automatic import, from Email Data Import, select Update & Import.
