Update — January 2024

The following updates were made to IRIS ParentMail during January 2024:

New Features

Remove Parents and Carers no longer linked to Students

When student leavers have been removed or removed as a user from IRIS ParentMail, any users with the Parent user type that are not linked to students can also be found and removed.

To find parents and carers that are not linked to students and remove them as an IRIS ParentMail user:

  1. Go to Settings, then select Housekeeping.
  2. Select Remove Parents without Children.
  3. To confirm removal, select Yes.

Fixes and Updates

  • Improved security updates
  • Resolved issues with Synchronise Attendance Reports rejecting records when the imported student name does not match the preferred name used in IRIS ParentMail
  • Verification status after changing a user's mobile number now displays correctly
  • Video links for Applications now open and can be played for Your Applications on Overview
  • For organisations using IRIS Data Extractor, Management Information System (MIS) GUIDs now import correctly for students not linked to contacts with parental responsibility and duplicated records are no longer created
  • Warning is now displayed if email message cannot be saved as a draft due to exceeding message character limits
  • When creating a parents' evening, the link from the Yes option on the data roll up confirmation message now opens the correct Help Centre topic

IRIS PlusPay 

  • Improved security updates
  • Items and dinner money top-ups that are for more than one organisation and include a discount now display correctly in Order History
  • Days Over Due is no longer populated for installments with a Due Date in the future when viewing outstanding payments
