Hiding Ledgers no Longer Required

Some Of the nominals and ledgers used in this topic may be different to those in your chart of accounts.

There may be occasions when certain ledgers within the system are no longer be required, such as a petty cash ledger, if you longer record petty cash. Hidden ledgers remain visible to the person within your establishment/organisation who administers your system, i.e. has a CUSTADMIN login.

Any transactions posted to these ledgers are no longer visible on a trial balance or a report to anyone who does not have the NO_ACCESS security role.

  1. Select Maintenance, then select Ledgers.
  2. The Ledger Maintenance window is displayed. Select the required ledger from the left-hand panel then, select the Security tab.
  3. Select EDIT. Editable fields are then enabled. Select Drill (...) in each of the fields in the security section in turn.
  4. The Select a role for Nominal dialog is displayed. Double-select to select the NO_ACCESS security role for each of the fields (with the exception of View analysis fields if you intend to view or report on the analysis fields).
  5. When the security role has been changed for all required fields, select SAVE to apply the changes.
  6. An Update complete message is displayed. Select OK to close the message and return to the previous window.
