Clearing the server cache will force the system to check for new categories that are in use and can be used if permissions have been assigned to users and you want to appear in their menus and task pads immediately (the user will need to log out and back in again). There could be a small drop in system performance while this process is carried out.

Internet browsers also maintain a cache, which is easy to clear by closing all browser windows and re-opening the browser. On-demand browser cache administration is available by selecting Browser Details from the Help page.

  1. Select Admin > Task Pad, then click Security Administration.

  2. Select the Cache tab.

  3. Select Clear Server Cache. A message appears to allow you to confirm your choice.
