Record/view job rates

Practice Admin Managers Partners Job Admin

Job rates are used to calculate any WIP values on time entered against jobs. By default, the rates assigned to each staff member allocated to the job are used. You can however, allocate other rates if required.

  1. Select the required job, then select the Rates panel.
  2. Select the required rate type from the Rates for this Job list. The following options are available:
    • Use Standard Rates - this is the default option and uses the charge rate defined on the member of staff's record (as defined in Define staff charge rates).
    • Use Percentage of Standard - applies a percentage value to any WIP enabling the WIP to be either discounted or charged at a premium irrespective of the staff member's charge rate.
    • Use Single Flat Rate - applies a flat charge rate to any WIP regardless of the staff member’s charge rate.
    • Custom Rates by Grade or Staff - (only available at job level) applies a rate based on either the staff member attached to the rate, or the grade associated with the rate. This enables the rates set on a specific staff member's record to be overridden. Two additional options are available when this option is selected to add the required grade and or person.
  3. If any changes have been made, click Save Changes.
