Does the employee need to provide consent for each application?

Yes. Employees need to provide consent for each financial application submitted. This ensures they have full control over who receives their data.

Why is there a default opt in?

This approach removes the administration burden on the employer side. There is little risk involved because the employee is in total control as they must give explicit consent during the online application before the verification process can start. Additionally, the employer is in full control of the data and can Opt Out of the service within the payroll product.

Can employees opt out of the service?

During the application process, the employee can decline online verification and the information application will be verified manually outside of the Work Report™ service.

Under the GDPR right to ‘Restrict’ or right to ‘Delete/Erasure’, an employee can request the employer not to share their data with Work Report™. Where the employee instructs the employer not to send their data to the IRIS Employee Verification service, the data is never captured from payroll and any previous data held in the data store is removed.

What happens if an employee doesn’t consent to use Work Report™, during the application process?

The employee provides their data to the financial service provider using other methods.

How much does it cost?

There is no charge for this service. Nothing. The functionality comes as standard to help improve your employee’s financial well being.

How do I sign up for the service?

The service is part of our standard product. There is no sign-up process needed. Customers are opted in by default with an option to opt-out.

When is the data submitted?

The data is captured and submitted during the FPS process.
