Configure Auto Enrolment

The next stage in your preparation is to configure auto enrolment for each of your companies.

  1. Select the Pension menu and then Configure Auto Enrolment. The screen opens on the Pensions tab.

  2. You must enter your Staging Date (and Postponement, if required) here.

  3. Select your Default Pension Fund.

  4. If you are using a NEST or Standard Life pension, select the NEST/Standard Life tab.

  5. Enter the Employer Ref Number, Group and Payment Source exactly as they are configured with NEST, or configure Site Code for Standard Life (It is also possible to do this within Configure Pension Fund).

  6. Select Pension Files.

  7. Select Withhold Initial Pension Contributions to withhold any initial employee contributions from your Pension Provider, in the event employees choose to opt out after auto enrolment. Leave this indicator blank if you do not intend to do this.

  8. Ensure to select the NEST indicator here if you want to send files to NEST directly from the payroll software.

  9. Select OK.
