Configure authorisation routes

  1. Go to Admin > System Administration > Application Data > Authorisation Routes.

  2. Select Add Authorisation Route.

  3. Complete the screen, using this table as a guide:

    Field

    How to complete

    Route Name

    Type a name for the authorisation route (maximum 50 characters including spaces).

    Route Type

    Select the option you want to use.

    If you select Specific Employees or Specific Hierarchy, a corresponding new field is added to the screen, for you to use to select the appropriate employees or hierarchy

    Request Types

    Tick the box beside Timesheets.

    Authoriser

    Select one of the following from the drop-down menu:

    • Employee’s Line Manager: if you select this option,IRIS Cascade finds the name shown in the Works For field on the employee’s current Job & Salary screen

    • A Named Employee: if you select this option, you also need to select the More icon, and then use the Employee Picker screen to select the appropriate employee

    • A role from the rest of the list

    Last Modified By

    The name of the last employee to modify the authorisation route is automatically shown in this field

    Notes

    Type a short but specific description of the authorisation route, to help other users to understand what requests it captures and edit it easily

  4. At the bottom of the screen, select Save.
