Using Profiles

The Profiles screen reports on which of your users have been assigned which profile and in what context. It is a great way of finding out who has what type of access rights.

Profile Detail
User Profile Deals with access to the users own data when selecting the My Record option. You can use a standard profile called Employee.
Direct Reports Profile Used by a line manager when viewing their direct reports. You can use a standard profile called Line Manager.
All Descendants Profile Used by a senior manager when viewing their direct reports and everyone who report to them. You can use a tandard profile called Line Manager.
Other Employees Profile Used by HR to view all the employees in the system. You can use the standard profile called HR Manager.
Applicants Profile Used by recruitment to view applicant data. You can use a standard profile called Recruitment Manager.
Other Role Used by the Optional Role section. This is normally a role holding a list of employees who's data access is then controlled by the profile below.
Other Role Profile Used to determine the employee screens that can be accessed by the role above.
