Using Profiles
The Profiles screen reports on which of your users have been assigned which profile and in what context. It is a great way of finding out who has what type of access rights.
Profile | Detail |
User Profile | Deals with access to the users own data when selecting the My Record option. You can use a standard profile called Employee. |
Direct Reports Profile | Used by a line manager when viewing their direct reports. You can use a standard profile called Line Manager. |
All Descendants Profile | Used by a senior manager when viewing their direct reports and everyone who report to them. You can use a tandard profile called Line Manager. |
Other Employees Profile | Used by HR to view all the employees in the system. You can use the standard profile called HR Manager. |
Applicants Profile | Used by recruitment to view applicant data. You can use a standard profile called Recruitment Manager. |
Other Role | Used by the Optional Role section. This is normally a role holding a list of employees who's data access is then controlled by the profile below. |
Other Role Profile | Used to determine the employee screens that can be accessed by the role above. |
