Keyword searching

Assigning keywords to each document allows users to take advantage of the keyword search facility.  Users select one or more keywords and then indicate how important each keyword is in the overall search.  In the example above, Data Protection is deemed the most important keyword, while the Leaflet keyword is searched for but is assigned a lower importance.

The IRIS Cascade system then performs a search of all documents that the user can see and gives an overall relevance score.  The higher the score, the more keywords in the search the document matches.  Documents score higher for matching an important keyword than a lower one.

Documents and their matching scores are shown in the list at the bottom of the page, and each document again can be downloaded by simply clicking its name.
