Update Common Fields for Group

This is an administrative function only. Only users with certain permissions can perform these tasks.

The area is used to update specific settings for a group of employees. The group can be built using query builder or All Employees I Can Access.

This area can be found in Administration > Users, Profiles and Roles > Users.

On the Users screen, in the Search On field at the top, select Active Group Only then click Update Common Fields for Group.

Fields to Update

Field Detail

Exchange Server Name

Allows the email server to be changed.

Update Enhanced Dashboard

Allows the enhanced dashboard to be enabled/disabled and also the ability to select a user from which the dashboard can be copied.

HR Dashboard 1 - 4

Allows the standard dashboard charts to be updated/amended.

Password Expires

Allows an expiry date to be set for the select group. This only affectS users using the standard Cascade login method. Not Windows logins.

Theme (old Theme Builder)

Only used for the old UI. Sets the theme for the selected users.

Theme (new UI User Theme)

Sets the User Theme for the selected employees.

Homepage

This sets which area appears when a user first logs into Cascade.

  • Dashboard - Shows the users standard/enhanced dashboard

  • Employee Details - Shows the employees Main screen

  • Tasklist - Displays the task list

Tasklist Popup

The option determines if and how the task list pop-up will appear.

Windows Auto Login

This option is only applicable to On-Premise customers and allows a user that's logged in using their Windows account to be automatically logged into Cascade.

Employees

Select the employees to be updated using the tick box on the left and click Save. This then updates the selected employees.
