Amending your licence

IRIS Cascade sends your licence information, showing the complete licence. When you add these details to IRIS Cascade, they must exactly match your licence before you can validate it.

To view and / or amend your licence, go to Admin > Administer Licence.

IRIS Cascade will send you a new licence code every time any change is made. You must add the licence code in the Licence Code field at the top of the screen and make all the changes on the licence screen at the same time.

  1. To change any option in the module list section, select Modify at the right-hand side of the appropriate row. You see some extra options.

  2. Complete the details, depending on the amendment you want to make. Use this table as a guide.

    Add a new module Tick the box in the Licensed column
    Amend the quantity

    Type the appropriate number
    Amend the expiry date

    In the Expires column, do one of the following:

     

    • To add an expiry date, type or select the appropriate date

    • To add Never (i.e. no expiry date), delete the date/leave the box blank

  3. Select Save.

  4. When you have added all the details, select Validate & Apply Licence at the bottom of the screen. One of the following will happen:

    • If your new licence has been added successfully, you will see your IRIS Cascade dashboard again

    • If your new licence has not been added, you will see a message informing you that the details are not valid. If you see this message, check the details carefully and try to add them again. If you still see the message, contact the service desk

Troubleshooting

Problems with adding or amending licence details are usually caused by one of the following:

  • Incorrect licence code: if you have difficulty seeing the licence code in the email, contact IRIS Cascade to confirm the code. Always add the code with CAPS LOCK on.

  • Date in Expires field instead of Never: if this happens, select the date, delete it, and then select Save.

  • Licence details do not match the ones in the new licence: check the details carefully to make sure they match exactly
