Overview of posts

Because IRIS Cascade is primarily an employee-based system, you only need to create one post for all employees who share the same job title. You only need to recreate an existing post if the normal hours for the post differ from location to location, for example, if the normal hours are 35 in London and 37.5 in Leeds.

Posts affect several areas of IRIS Cascade, including some important calculations and calculated fields, for example, employees’ full time equivalent (FTE).

To view and manage your organisation’s posts, go to Admin > Posts.

You can access Admin from the top hand menu.

You can use the options at the top of Posts screen to filter and search for posts:

  • Search On: to search on post ID or job title
  • Group on Job Title: to group together all posts with the same job title
  • Show Closed Posts: to view any posts with an end date in the past
  • Filter on Job Title: to view posts alphabetically by job title

From the Posts screen, you can also:

When you have created and saved posts, you cannot change their post ID.
