Creating hyperlinks

  1. Go to Admin > Menu Configuration. A list of any existing hyperlinks appears.

  2. Select Add.

  3. Complete the screen that is displayed, using this table as a guide. Fields marked with an asterisk * are mandatory fields, and you must complete them.

    Description/How to complete

    Title*

    The link name that users will see (30 characters maximum)

    Description

    Optional information that users won’t see (300 characters maximum)

    URL*

    The website address that the hyperlink is linked to (250 characters maximum).

     

    The preferred secure format for hyperlinks is HTTPS. If you add any of the following instead, you will see a warning - non secure link message:

     

    • A URL that is not secure

    • A URL in HTTP format

    • A network path in the format \\servername\folder\filename

  1. Select Save.

  2. If required, you can use the options on the Menu Configuration screen as follows:

    • Move Up and Move Down to change the display order of the hyperlinks.

    • Edit to change the properties of hyperlinks (i.e. title, description and/or URL).

    • Delete to delete hyperlinks that are no longer needed. If you delete a hyperlink, it is removed from any role(s) that it was assigned to
