View and upload client ID documents

The ID documents tab in any client record allows you to upload and view proof of name and address, such as a passport, birth or marriage certificate, driving licence, or utility bills. 

Before you upload a client ID document, make sure the file is no bigger than 15MB and the format is either .png, .jpg, or .pdf. 

  1. On the menu bar, select Clients
  2. Select a client then select the ID documents tab. Any current ID documents are shown.
  3. To upload a new document, select Upload. Browse to the document you want to upload. 
  4. Enter a Name and optionally, a Description.
  5. On the Type list, select the type of identification you're uploading. This could be proof of name or proof of address.
  6. On the Sub-type list, select the type of document you're uploading. This could be a passport, a birth certificate, or a recent utility bill.
  7. In the Reference number box, optionally enter a reference for the document. 
  8. In the Expiry date box, use the date picker to select the date that the ID document expires. 
  9. Select Upload in background. When complete, the ID document is displayed in the list and the status is updated.
