Assign Students

LA Super User

IRIS Looked After Call User Roles determines which users need to be assigned to students. For more information, go to User Roles.

Social Worker users must be assigned to a student to be able to access their details. Designated Teacher users do not need to be assigned to students as their access is determined by the organisation they are linked to.

Assign Students to a User

1. Go to Settings > Users.
2. For the required user, in Pupils, select the number icon.

3. Select the required student from Unassigned to or Assigned to, then select Add or Remove.

Assign Students to an Organisation

1. Go to Settings > Users.
2. For the required user, in Pupils, select the Edit.

3. Enter the URN for the organisation, then select Save.

   If a Designated Teacher user was not assigned to an organisation previously, clear Unassigned to organisation.
