Moving a User from One Group to Another

There may be circumstances where a user changes role within the establishment/organisation and consequently needs different access to the system. This is achieved by changing the user group to which the user belongs.

  1. Launch the Administrator module by selecting Admin > Administrator from the menu bar in PS Accounting. For added security, you will be prompted to login again with your System Administrator account details.
  2. The PSF Administration dialog is then displayed. The left-hand panel contains an explorer view of the system, including the databases and user groups. The right-hand section provides access to view/edit applicable security information.
  3. Expand the user group folder then select the required user name to display the User tab.

     
  4. Select the required user group from the Group drop-down list then click the Save and Close button.

Changes will only take effect once the applicable user has logged out and back in again.
