Terminating Disconnected Cloud User Accounts

Instead of correctly logging out of the PS Cloud, some users select X on the the PS Cloud toolbar for quickness (or because they do not know the correct way).

Using this method simply closes the window and does not disconnect their session. The user remains logged in to all IRIS Financials applications and their session continues running in the background.

If several users log out of PS Cloudusing this incorrect method, then significant system resource can be used, resulting in a slow performance for other users. It also prevents the System Administrator from successfully running a system audit.

Please ensure that your users log out using the correct method as described in Logging out of the Cloud.

If your system is performing poorly, or you want to carry out a system audit, you can terminate any disconnected PS Cloud users. Users are not be warned that they are being be logged off and therefore lose any unsaved work. We recommend speaking to applicable users first, if possible, before you terminate their session.

  1. Log into the PS Cloud Self Service as described in Launching the Cloud Self Service. The PS Cloud Self Service window is displayed.
  2. Select the Servers icon to display the Servers page.
  3. Select Terminate adjacent to the applicable user. Alternatively, to terminate all disconnected users, select Terminate All Disconnected.
