Posting a Missed Prepayment

If prepayments were not correctly defined at the time the transaction was entered they need to be manually created.

Manual prepayments are required when an invoice has already been posted that did not include the prepayment entries. Manual prepayments can be achieved using either of the following methods (select the required method for full instructions):

Posting a Missed Prepayment Using an Existing Document by running a document enquiry for the required invoice.

Posting a One-Off Prepayment

Before posting any prepayment documents, it is essential to check that all the accounting periods within the prepayment time frame exist, and have a security role of PERIOD.8 or less. Prepayments are not posted to the correct periods if this is not the case, and it can be time consuming to rectify.
