Former student donations

Once you have opened a former student record in the Pupil Manager module, use the Donations option to log donations and legacies to your school.

To log donations, follow the steps below:

  1. In the Pupil Manager module, select the Former Students tab.
  2. Search and select a former student record to work with.
  3. Go to the Additional Information menu and select Donations:
  4. Complete the fields available:

    Field Explanation
    Legator Check the box if the former student intends on leaving a legacy in their will.
    Donor Check the box if the former student is a donor.
    Category > Use this to categorise types of donor. Click the add icon to add more categories to the drop-down list.
    Donation Notes Add further details of the donation or legacy. This is useful for adding details of intended legacies.
  5. Either:
    • Click Update Data to save the new data.
      or
    • Click Reload Record to refresh the record with the last saved data.
  6. Select the Donation History tab:
  7. Complete the fields available:

    Field Explanation
    Date Enter the date that the donation was made.
    Type Use this to categorise donations. Click the add icon to add more categories to the drop-down list.
    Value Enter the donation amount.
    Notes Add more detail about the donation. For example whether a donation is a one off.
    Reference Add your own reference, as required. For example, a cheque number or the event where the donation was given.
  8. Click Update Data to save the new data. The donation is listed at the bottom of the screen.

Click the edit icon to edit donation details.

Click the delete icon to delete donation details.
