How To Set Exclusions Within McAfee Security Centre

Introduction

If an Internet Security Suite package is installed, then it is likely to contain both an Anti-Virus product and a Firewall product. Each product will need configuring separately. This document contains the information required to configure exclusions within McAfee SecurityCenter.


 

  1. Open Security Centre and select VirusScan.

  2. Select Configure VirusScan Options and click Advanced.

  1. Select the Program files and documents only option.

  2. Click OK to return to the main menu.

 

  1. Select Personal Firewall and click Options.

  2. Select the Run Setup Assistant option.

 

  1. Click Scan My Computer.

  2. Click Only Show Red Alerts and then click Next.

  1. Select the network type and click Next.

  1. Select the Completely Trust My Local Network option and click Next.

 

  1. Click Finish to save changes and exit the wizard.
