Downloading an IRIS update

  1. From the IRIS Accountancy Suite menu select Help in the menu bar and then Check for Downloads.

This will take you to the Customer Support area on the IRIS Website. You may need to log in here with your IRIS customer reference number and your password (post code with a space).

  1. Once logged in you will be directed to the Downloads page. From the options listed, select the update that you require.

  1. You will then be prompted to Run, Save or Cancel – always select Save. These options are from Internet Explorer 9 yours may be different if you are using Firefox, Chrome or Safari.

 


Once the file has been downloaded Run the file and proceed through the installer wizard.

  1. Right-click on your IRIS Practice Software Menu icon/shortcut.

  2. Select Properties.

  3. On the Shortcut tab, click Find Target or Open file location.

  4. The IRIS folder will now open.

  5. Scroll to the top where you will see the sub folders.

  6. Locate the Logs Folder.

  7. Right-click on the folder and choose > Send to (Compressed) Zip folder.

  8. This will then create another file within the IRIS folder called Logs.Zip (make a note of its location) and send to the email address above.
