Status Indicators – Personal Tax

Introduction

Status indicators can be used as a guide to the status of each section of a client’s tax return.

There are four states:

Use of status indicators is controlled via a staff privilege. If the privilege has not been saved it will not work properly.

Symptoms include:

To get around any of the problems above, that particular Staff Permission will have to be resaved. This is done through Personal Tax by clicking Administration and then Staff Maintenance.

A screen displays showing a list of IRIS users, including the user with the problem. Highlight this user and click View located to the right-hand side.

  1. On the Staff Maintenance screen look to the top and click the Privileges tab. This will give the list of privileges for this staff member for the various products.

  2. Scroll down to the Personal Tax section in order to re-save the specific privilege.

  3. Click on the tick to change to a cross and click the Save.

  4. Repeat the procedure, except this time you are clicking on the cross to change back to a tick.

  5. Again, click Save and then Close to exit.

Repeat the whole procedure for any other staff members.
