End of Year Submission

When you have successfully submitted all data and EOPS on a client’s instances, this page is the next step in completing a client’s MTD journey.

This page will summarise all existing information submitted to HMRC and show visual aids such as reminders, notifications and progress bars to outline the next logical step for a user to submit their End of Year Submission.

The first step is to ensure all other income and reliefs are correct and, in the case of bank accounts, are matched to HMRC records, before submitting.

General

A progress indicator in this section shows he user what stage a client’s digital tax’s journey is at and what is outstanding.

Notifications

The hub will generate reminders based on their current progress to highlight the next steps a user will need to take to complete the process. Warnings will also show where action needs to be taken before continuing.

End of Period Statement

This section will detail the status of all End of Period Statements (EOPS) and show a brief overall profit/(loss) for every income type instance that the client has. Clicking on any of the instances will take a user to the relevant page.

Other Income and Reliefs

This table will show all other income and relief information that has been entered for that client in Personal Tax; a user must, if they have any, submit all of these.

Submit

This option will be enabled when a user has submitted all EOPS for every income type and will methodically send each other income and relief. This will then progress a user to viewing a client calculation and sending a final declaration.

Print

The printing function on this page will allow a user to view the digital tax hub’s report version of a return. Similarly, the function will give the ability to choose which income sources are shown in the report.

Declaration & Calculation

This screen displays after a user has successfully submitted their other income and reliefs and must be completed to submit all necessary information to HMRC.

Calculation

This will show the calculation IRIS has received from HMRC – based on figures the user has sent.

Declaration

The declaration text, written by HMRC, explains the user must Agree to the declaration before the information can be fully submitted to HMRC.
