How to Install Xerox Phaser 5550B Printer for Company Formations

Introduction

This topic explains how to install the Xerox Phaser 5550B Printer for Company Formations.

• Please ensure all IRIS applications are closed before proceeding to install the Xerox Phaser 5550B printer.

1. Right-click on IRIS icon (this can be found on your desktop) and select Properties.

The following screen displays.

2. Click Find Target or Open File Location.

The following displays.

3. Find the file called P5550Win_PCL_32_English.exe or P5550Win_PCL_x64_English.exe (depending on which version of Windows is installed).

• To identify which version of windows you have installed click here.

4. Double-click on the file to start the installation.

5. Right-click in the Destination folder field and select Copy.

6. Click Install.

7. Select the Add a local printer option.

The following screen displays.

8. Ensure Use an existing port is selected. Click on the drop-down menu and select File (print to file).

9. Click Next.

The following screen displays.

10. Click Have Disk..

The following screen displays.

11. In the Copy manufacturer’s files from: field, right-click and Paste the link copied in Step 6.

12. Click OK.

• If you are unable to paste in the link, click on Browse... and find the location: C:\Xerox\P5550_PCL_32_Driver or C:\Xerox\p5550_PCL_x64_Driver

The following screen displays.

13. Highlight the Xerox Phaser 5550B printer and click Next.

The following screen displays.

14. Rename the printer from Xerox Phaser 5550B to IRIS and click Next.

The following screen displays.

15. Select Do not share this printer and click Next.

The following screen displays.

• Do not select Print a test page.

16. Deselect Set as the default printer and click Finish.
