Is Database='IRIS' on Server='Computer\IRISPRACTICE ' already in use?  

During the IRIS Upgrade Scan #1 the following error may occur:

Is Database='IRIS' on Server='Computer\IRISPRACTICE ' already in use?

This usually indicates that the IRIS program may be open in the background.

 

 

  1. Make sure the Main Menu is closed.

  2. Close all active windows, that is, Accounts Production, Business Tax, AutoMail.

  3. When all windows are closed, select CTRL+ALT+DELETE and select Start Task Manager.

  4. Click the Processes tab and scroll down to the processes beginning with the letter 'I'.

  5. Close IrisPortalMenu.exe, iwinaprd.exe or iwinptax.exe or any other iwinxxx.exe tasks.

  1. Restart the PC and retry the update.
