How to email your Log Files to Support

  1. Right-click on the IRIS icon and select Properties.

  2. In the Shortcut tab, click Open File Location or Find Target (depending on which version of Windows you are using). This will open your IRIS (or TT) folder.

  3. If you do not have an IRIS icon on your desktop, the folder can normally be located from, START | COMPUTER | C: DRIVE | IRIS (or TT) | LOGS

  1. Scroll to the top of the folder and right-click on the Logs folder and go to Send to and Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file called Logs.zip in your IRIS (or TT) folder.

  1. A Logs.zip file will appear in your IRIS (or TT) folder. The Log.zip file will normally appear automatically in alphabetical order so may be found when you scroll down the folder:

  1. If you use Microsoft Outlook, right-click on the Logs.zip file and go to Send to and then Mail recipient. This will Open a new Microsoft Outlook email and automatically attach your Logs.zip file to it. (Now go to step 6.)

  1. If you DO NOT use Microsoft Outlook, open a New email and locate your Logs.zip file. The folder can normally be located from, COMPUTER | C: DRIIVE | IRIS (or TT) | LOGS

  2. Once you have located the Logs.zip file, attach this to an email by highlighting it and clicking Insert:

  1. Send the email to support@iris.co.uk
